## 2. Core Principle: Your Data Stays on Your Device
This app was built on the principles of data minimization and "privacy by design."
All entries and analyses are stored exclusively locally on your device. We — the provider of the app — do not collect, receive, store, or process any personal information about you. We have no access to the content you enter in the app.
The app works offline and requires no registration, no user account, and no sign-in.
## 3. What You Enter in the App
While using the app, you may enter or generate, among other things:
- freely chosen profile labels (e.g., for your children or for yourself)
- answers to the monitoring questions (e.g., about attention, stress, behavior, and emotional strain in everyday life)
- the resulting progress and trend displays
This data remains entirely on your device. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party.
## 4. Storage Location and Retention
The data is stored in the app's protected storage area on your device. We do not store it on our servers or in any cloud.
When you delete the app or reinstall it, the stored data is permanently and irreversibly removed. We cannot restore any data, because we hold no copy of it.
## 5. No Data Sharing, No Tracking, No Advertising
- We use no analytics or tracking services (e.g., no Google Analytics, no advertising identifiers, no usage tracking).
- We include no advertising and no third-party ad networks.
- We use no cookies or comparable technologies for tracking purposes.
- We do not share any data with third parties.
## 6. Sensitive Data and Children's Data
The information entered in the app may relate to health and to minors. Under the GDPR, such information falls within the "special categories of personal data" (Art. 9 GDPR) and is especially sensitive. Comparable protections apply under various U.S. laws.
Because this data remains exclusively on your device and is entered and managed solely by you, we do not process it. Responsibility for the data stored on the device — in particular data about children — rests with you as the user and, where applicable, as the parent or legal guardian.
Children's privacy (COPPA and similar laws): This app is not designed to collect personal information from children online. Any information about a child stays on the device and is entered by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, because we do not collect personal information at all.
We recommend protecting the device with a device lock (passcode, Face/Touch recognition) and entering data about children only within the scope of parental responsibility.
## 7. Device Permissions
- Notifications/Reminders: If you enable reminders, they are scheduled and triggered locally on your device only. No data is transmitted to us in the process.
- Sharing/Exporting the progress report: If you choose to share a progress report (e.g., with your physician or psychotherapist), you do so using your device's share function. You alone decide whether, what, and with whom you share. We are not involved in this process and receive no data from it.
## 8. Purchase Through the App Store
The app is purchased and downloaded through the Apple App Store. The related processing (purchase, payment, delivery) is handled by Apple and is subject to Apple's privacy policy. We receive no personal purchaser data from Apple — at most aggregated, anonymized sales statistics.
There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no hidden additional costs. After the one-time purchase, the app can be used for the stated period at no further cost.
## 9. Deleting Your Data
You can delete your data yourself at any time:
- by deleting individual entries or profiles within the app [if available — please adjust], or
- by uninstalling the app, which permanently removes all locally stored data.
## 10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal data, including the rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to the processing of your data (e.g., under the GDPR, Arts. 15–21).
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): We do not collect, sell, or share personal information, and we do not process it for targeted advertising. Because we collect no personal information, there is nothing for us to disclose, delete, or opt out of on our side.
Because we do not process any personal information about you and have no access to the data stored locally on your device, you can exercise these rights with respect to your content directly yourself (viewing, editing, deleting in the app or on the device). For any privacy questions, contact us at inform17@speak-to-doc.de.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (in the EU/EEA, the supervisory authority of your place of residence.
## 11. Legal Bases
To the extent that we collect no data and therefore process no personal information, no legal basis for processing by us is required. You process the data you enter locally on your own device under your own responsibility. Purchase processing through the App Store is the responsibility of Apple.
## 12. Data Security
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to make the app secure. Because the data is stored locally, its security depends substantially on the security of your device. We recommend keeping your device up to date and protecting it with a device lock.
## 13. Intended Use
This app is not a medical device and does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment. It is intended for psychoeducation, self-management, and everyday support. This Privacy Policy concerns the handling of data only.
## 14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy, for example when the app or legal requirements change. The current version published in the app or here. The "Last updated" date above is authoritative.
